Marinas in Victoria and Vancouver Island

Marinas in Victoria and Vancouver Island
Cruising the waters of Victoria and Vancouver Island is an excellent way to experience the Island and is a holiday in itself. The beauty and charm of Victoria and other Island communities is magnetic, so you will not be able to resist docking your boat in a marina and having a closer look at what there is on offer.

Marinas are small communities in themselves, providing safe moorage for commercial fishing boats and marine pleasure craft. What better haven than Victoria to rest and refuel? Shelter, food, supplies and entertainment abound ,to the delight of sailors and boaters.

Many Vancouver Island marinas cater exclusively to locally-owned pleasure boats which are permanently docked at the marina throughout the year, but many have space for visiting or transient boaters. Commercial fishing boats travelling to their fishing grounds often leave open docks for boats passing by the Island. However, during late spring and summer, the number of boats visiting Victoria and other popular Island destinations increases, so it is recommended that reservations for moorage be made well in advance of arrival.
