Birders’ Checklist

This checklist is adapted from the Victoria Natural History Society from The Naturalist's Guide to the Victoria Region, edited, with contributions, by Jim Weston and David Stirling. The list shows 246 species which have been observed regularly in the Southern Vancouver Island area. The area covered is south of 49 degrees north latitude at Ladysmith and east of a line from Ladysmith to Otter Point, including the Gulf Islands and all straits to the US border.
