From the stunning Sunken Garden, carved out of a former limestone quarry, to the tranquil Japanese Garden, each section of Butchart Gardens feels like stepping into a living masterpiece. The Malahat Skywalk in British Columbia is an absolute must-visit for any traveller looking to immerse themselves in the region’s natural beauty and breathtaking views. One of the things I loved most about the Greater Victoria area is how you are surrounded by nature. One of my favorite places to visit is Goldstream Provincial Park. Nestled just outside the city, this stunning park offers lush old-growth forests, serene hiking trails, and breathtaking views of the Goldstream River and nearby waterfalls. One of the park's crown jewels is the dramatic Niagara Falls of the Pacific, a smaller yet equally captivating waterfall that cascades through a moss-draped canyon. Yes, there is a Niagara Falls in BC and while it might not have the grand scale of Niagara Falls in Ontario, its raw, untamed beauty certainly rivals any natural wonder. The park is also famous for its vibrant salmon run in the fall and its incredible birdwatching opportunities year-round.

The Pendray Inn & Teahouse
Something unique about Victoria compared to other cities is they offer an abundance of traditional afternoon tea services! We decided to try an afternoon tea experience at the Pendray Tea House and had just the loveliest time. Nestled in the heart of the city's historic Inner Harbour, this charming heritage building offers not just a delightful tea service but also a step back in time. The Pendray Inn, originally built in 1890 as a private mansion, exudes old-world elegance with its classic Victorian architecture and beautifully preserved interiors. Sipping tea in its cozy, elegant rooms, with views of the harbour, you’ll feel transported to another era. With a selection of locally sourced teas, delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and decadent pastries, it's a quintessential Victoria experience that perfectly blends history, culture, and a touch of indulgence.

The food scene
The food scene. Victoria, BC, is a culinary paradise that food lovers absolutely must experience. Fisherman’s Wharf in Victoria, BC, is an absolute gem that should be on every traveler’s bucket list!
