Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea
Located on the breathtaking Sidney waterfront and traditional lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations, the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea is Canada’s only aquarium and learning centre dedicated exclusively to furthering awareness, exploration and stewardship of the Salish Sea bioregion. The Centre displays the natural beauty and ecological diversity of the Salish Sea through 33 aquarium habitats showcasing over 160 species of amazing fish and invertebrates. The Centre is home to a rare, fully-intact killer whale skeleton, a ‘hands-on’ Touch Pool experience, a feature exhibit gallery, and a Salish Sea store with unique, locally-sourced books and sustainable goods.
