Bamberton Beach Provincial Park

Mill Bay Rd Mill Bay BC .

Bamberton Provincial Park covers an area of 28 hectares on the west side of Saanich Inlet. The warm waters are a popular destination for local salmon fishers. The 225-metre long sandy beach has also made the park an ideal spot for families. While the kids frolic in the water, parents can lounge in the sand and enjoy the views across the inlet: to the east the shores of the Saanich Peninsula and the southern Gulf Islands and Mt. Baker beyond; to the west the mountains of south Vancouver Island.

Bamberton is famed for its arbutus trees. These beautiful trees have a red peeling bark, and are Canada’s only broadleaf evergreen. Bamberton is a great location for bird watchers, as many birds of prey, including eagles and ospreys frequent the area. The park features a vehicle accessible campground.

Located just five minutes south of Mill Bay, the park is close to several Greater Victoria tourist attractions including wineries, cideries, and the Malahat Skywalk.
